«Gazing Back» deals with the patriarchal gaze on FINTA* individuals. Through acting, performance and dance, the 15-member FINTA* only cast engages in the piece with personal experiences that can be connected to structural patriarchal violence. What shapes today's social view? In the play, a collective desire begins to form to break free from the rigid structures and boxes imposed on FINTA* and explore personal and collective monstrosity.
“Bimbo Core” is a subculture that celebrates stylised femininity and consumption – short skirts, high heels and make-up. During the studio time, Lina, Nikita and Catherine will first explore the aesthetics, content and values of Bimbo Core and subsequently develop a stage play. Through their performative research, they want to bring FINTA perspectives to the stage and highlight the diversity of feminism.
